John B. Green
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Airports Worldwide
Mr. Green began his airport management career in 1980 with Lockheed Air Terminal, Inc. (LAT) in Atlanta after working in Delta Air Lines’ College Management Program during college. As LAT evolved into Airport Group International, Inc. and then subsequently TBI AM, Mr. Green’s responsibilities evolved and grew. In 1994, he was promoted to International Operations Director and was responsible for the smooth transition to the newly constructed International Concourse E – the largest International Concourse in North America at the time, while he continued to manage the day-to-day international operation. During the 1996 Olympic Games, Mr. Green successfully managed the international airport operation where arriving passenger volumes doubled the average, and departures tripled normal levels. Since that time the international operation has grown to over 10 million passengers annually and has required an expansion to Concourse F, an additional 12 gates, and the 1.4 million square foot International Terminal. In addition to his role in Atlanta, Mr. Green was instrumental in the privatization of the Australian airports and the London Luton Airport project. Mr. Green was involved in the due diligence process on both of these projects, as well as providing operational and organizational leadership during the transition from the public sector to private management.
