Donald G. Maltby was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Hub Group in September 2015, after serving as Chief Strategy Officer from May 2014 to January 2015. Previously, Don served as Chief Supply Chain Officer from January 2011 until May 2014 where he successfully oversaw the Hub Highway and Unyson divisions. During his tenure, his divisions experienced double-digit growth and received highest industry recognition. Don has held several other positions at Hub Group since joining the company in 1990, including Executive Vice President of Logistics Services, President of Hub Online, the company’s e-commerce division, and President of Hub Cleveland. A transportation and logistics industry veteran, Don has held various executive and management positions dating back to 1976. Prior to joining Hub Group, Don served as President of Lyons Transportation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sherwin Williams Company. During his career at Sherwin Williams from 1981 to 1990, Don held a variety of management positions including Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the transportation division. Don earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York in 1976 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 1982. In his spare time, Don enjoys working out and boating. He resides with his wife, Nancy, and son, Tom, in Chicago, Illinois.

Ronald J. Vales has been in transportation for 30 years. While attending College, Mr. Vales began working at Overnite Transportation as a part-time dock worker. During Mr. Vales fourteen year tenure at Overnite he progressed to Service Center Director of the company’s largest facility over seeing both operations and sales. In 1993, Mr. Vales joined Averitt Express as a Service Center Director to open up the Chicago Service Center and eventually became the Midwest Regional Vice President. In 2000, Mr. Vales began his career in international transportation at Unity Distribution. When RoadLink USA purchased Unity in 2007, Mr. Vales served as Vice President, Sales. In 2008, Mr. Vales joined Central States and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
